Hit and Run Injury Collision
In a recent report, shortly after 3:00 pm, Fairfield Police received a report of a hit and run injury collision near Armijo High School.
Pedestrian and vehicle traffic is heavy at this time as students are leaving for the day. Preliminary investigation shows the pedestrian, a 15 year old male student, was running southbound across the 400 block of Carpenter St. as a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Carpenter St. The vehicle ran over the pedestrian's right foot then continued eastbound.
The pedestrian apparently suffered serious injury to his foot and was transported via ambulance to Kaiser Vallejo.
The vehicle is described as a dark green, late 1990s Mustang or Camero convertible. The vehicle may also have a black top and the driver is described only as a black male.
