My son has repeatedly been attacked by students at school. I have talked to the school administration about these bullies on numerous occasions. A month ago, my son was seriously injured by a student and suffered a fractured wrist. What is the liability of the school for his medical bills and injuries if a file a lawsuit?

If the school had previous evidence that the student’s were potentially dangerous, such as previous reports of violence, it is possible the school will be held liable for the injury that was caused to your son. This is especially true if the school knew of the violence and did not take steps to stop it or to protect your son. You should consult with an experienced personal injury attorney who has worked with assault victims. The attorney can help you determine what the liability of the school is for your son’s injuries and what you will need to do to prove that the school was aware of the potential for injury.
