Question: I was recently in an accident at work while working for a construction company. I have since won my court case and I am curious should I take a structured settlement or a lump sum payment?

The thing to consider is your situation. Do you need money no to pay for medical expenses, not being paid, etc., or are you able to wait to be paid as long as your settlement lasts? If you can wait on a structured settlement, you will be paid a larger amount over a longer period of time whereas a lump sum will give you less money, but give it to you right now.
