My landlord has not fixed our unsafe shower and I slipped and injured my leg, can I file a lawsuit?

I live in a rental home that has been having some issues with the water in the shower as it suddenly changes temperatures from hot to cold. I ended up slipping when this happened last week and I had already told property management about this a few times before it happened. I broke my leg and have to miss work for a while. Is there anything I can do?

The sudden water change in your shower may be considered unsafe and dangerous in the court of law. Given the fact that you had already addressed this to your property management company and they failed to take any action, this breaches their duty of providing a safe living environment. Thus, it may be in your best interest to consult with a Personal Injury Attorney who can evaluate your claim and help you receive compensation for the damages you have incurred.
