Workers Compensation

Workers compensation, also called workers' comp, is a type of insurance coverage provided unto employees through policies provided by their employers. Currently, in the United States, workers compensation is mandated in all states by workers compensation laws. With workers compensation, the matter fault is not in question — employers are strictly liable for injuries sustained by their employees in the workplace, However, it is important to note that the employee needs to have sustained the injury within the place of work, and during the course of work, not during lunch or other situations exterior to the workplace. Once the employee files a claim for worker's compensation, he can receive three main benefits as compensation; medical expenses, disability income, and rehab/training.
