Vehicle Rollover

A vehicle rollover is a form of accident in which a motor vehicle rolls over onto its side or roof. While all cars are susceptible to rollovers, SUV's are more prone to be involved in a vehicle rollover. This is because they have a higher center of gravity, and a much wider wheel base than regular passenger vehicles. The main cause of a vehicle rollover is due to the driver turning the wheels to sharply and to fast. Other reasons for a vehicle rollover include hitting an object and driving on uneven terrain. When compared to frontal, side and rear crashes, vehicle rollovers have the greatest risk of serious injury to the occupants.
