Police Misdoncut

Police misconduct is defined as any inappropriate behavior by a police officer in direct conjunction of the official duties they have as a police officer. Forms of police misconduct include, but are not limited to, false confession, false arrest, falsified evidence, false imprisonment, intimidation, police brutality, police corruption, political subjugation, racial profiling, sexual abuse, and surveillance abuse. Police misconduct is big news, and has been known to stir up racial discontent. A famous and rather recent case of police misconduct was the 1992 police brutality beating of Rodney King. The acquittal of the four officers involved sparked the onset of riots all over Los Angeles. Police misconduct has been at the root of many cases of miscarriage of justice, and is often times associated with racial discrimination.
