Medical Malpractice Birth

Medical malpractice is the term which is used to describe any form of negligence displayed by a physician or other health care professional which results in harm to the patient. Medical malpractice birth cases specifically relate to cases where the appropriate levels of care are not provided during the birth process, usually leading to harm being caused to the baby. Such a case usually involves proving that the physician has deviated from the accepted practice for dealing with birth difficulties. If not dealt with appropriately, several birth complications may lead to the brain being starved of oxygen for an amount of time, and this may then result in conditions such a Cerebral Palsy and Brachial Plexus injury. These conditions are likely to have serious life-long consequences for the child, including physical or mental disability.
