Maritime Injury

Maritime injury is a prevalent concern for a variety of people who earn their living on sea. Fishermen, deckhands, merchant mariners, crabbers, lobstermen, ferry workers, navy and coast guard personnel, and oil rig workers are all in a position to suffer a maritime injury each time they go to work or are called to protect and serve their country. Passengers who travel on cruise ships, ferries and other watercraft for the purposes of leisure are also at risk of suffering a maritime injury. Included in the wide number of maritime injuries are slip and falls incidents which often times results in soft tissue injury, strains and sprains, and fractured or broken bones. Most slip and fall accidents happen while boarding and leaving the ship.
