Lead Paint Symptoms

Lead is a toxic metal, and can cause a number of health problems or even death if ingested in high quantities by humans. Young children are the most vulnerable to lead paint poisoning, but it can affect people of all ages. There are no unique lead paint symptoms, and early symptoms are extremely general. Just some of the many lead paint symptoms include loss of appetite, fatigue, abdominal pain, chest pain, lethargy, impotence, irritability, and having a metal taste in the mouth. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and weight loss are all common in acute lead poisoning. Extreme cases can result in comas, seizures and even death.
