Fen Phen Diet

The infamous fen phen diet fad of the 1990's has run its course. But, the adverse effects this notorious diet had on consumers is still felt today. Fen phen was an all-the-rage dietary prescription drug that was used to control appetite, hence the name fen phen diet. Fen phen was removed from the market in 1997 after years of complaints of adverse side effects which include heart valve damage, pulmonary hypertension, high blood pressure, and in some instances, heart failure.
