Disability Insurance

Disability insurance is a type of insurance providing coverage to people who become unable to work because after some injury has been sustained. Most commonly, the coverage received through a disability insurance is received either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, similar to a salary. However, disability insurance will not pay out the full amount of salary being lost. Instead, only a percentage of the disabled person's salary will be paid, providing a stable although smaller income to the disabled person. Like other insurance policies, disability insurance also consists of terms contained in a policy. Once the disabled begins paying into their policy, they will receive said benefits for the amount of time stated in the policy.
