Defective Products

Defective consumer products cause an estimated 32.7 million injuries annually. Defective products are any products bought or used by a consumer that do not perform their function properly or fit another definition, for instance, those that do not have sufficient safety warnings accompanying it, don't have complete and thorough instructions as to usage and or storage, and is found to be arbitrarily unsafe for consumer use. Defective products can range from simple toys that don't carry sufficient age appropriate labeling to defective ball joints on a car or truck that make it unsafe for use. In some instances, a manufacturer will recall a defective product, and stop making more until the issue is resolved. Often times, however, there has already been a substantial amount of damage incurred by consumers, whether monetarily or physically.
