Cruise Ship Injuries

There are a number of different incidents which may cause cruise ship injuries, with some of the common causes of injury including passengers falling overboard; slipping on wet decks; falling down wet stairs; being hit by objects falling from upper decks; injuries caused by rough seas; food poisoning. Injury may also arise should an accident happen and the cruise ship be damaged or sink. The large population on board a cruise ship at any one time may also predispose passengers to serious crimes, including burglary, assault, rape and murder. Some injuries may also occur when passengers disembark a cruise ship at different ports of call. While they are usually responsible for looking after themselves during this time, passengers still come under the responsibility of the cruise company should they participate in activities offered by the company. This may include various sight-seeing tours or sports activities, where injury may also be sustained.
