Construction Injury

A construction injury is any injury incurred while working at, or visiting, a construction site. Construction injuries involve everything from compress gas explosions and scaffolding failures to serious falls, welding accidents, and chemical exposure. Hundreds of thousands of workers suffer a construction injury each year in the United States. Contributing to this high number of injuries are, but not limited to, equipment malfunction, operator error, environmental conditions, falling debris and slips and falls. The number one construction injury is an injury sustained to the back. Regulations instituted under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, and other state laws and regulations help to protect construction workers from incurring serious injury.
