Bus Accidents

Bus accidents occur, on the average, over 50,000 times each year in the United States. School buses, public transit buses and private charter buses are all involved in accidents each year. Between 1990 and 2001 there were 352 fatalities and 233,722 injuries resulting from bus accidents. The causes of bus accidents are numerous, including operator error, equipment failure, recklessness by other motorist, and poor road conditions. Injuries resulting from bus accidents range from minor bruises to broken bones to death.
