There are no minimal or maximal plateaus which a person can reach when undergoing brain injury rehab. Because every patient is different and their life situations vary considerably, each case of brain injury rehab is unique. Individuals who have sustained a brain injury will receive rehabilitation that includes speech/language therapy, occupational/vocational therapy, and medicinal therapy, as well as physiological and cognitive therapy as a part of their brain injury rehab. Brain injury rehab is also contingent on the patients willingness to participate in their recovery and the support network they have. Brain injury rehab involves constant re-evaluation and adjustments in therapy intensity. This includes re-assessing medications with regard to dosage and effectiveness, and watching for signs that symptoms are subsiding. Moral support from family and friends play a major role in successful brain injury rehab.
