Brain Damage Dogs

Although dogs are domesticated pets, when they attack it is clear that they remain somewhat of a wild animal. While many dog bites may result in only soft tissue injury, prolonged attacks may lead to very serious injuries including brain damage. Dogs may cause head injuries by attacking the head, or causing the victim of the attack to fall and bang their head on the floor. However the brain injury occurs, there may be significant lifelong effects for victims, with the possibility of permanent physical and mental disability as a result of the injury. Some brain injuries resulting from dog attacks may also result in death. Children may be particularly at risk of brain damage from dog attacks, as they may be less able to defend themselves against an attack.
