Personal Injuries

Personal injuries are any injury personally suffered by a person rather than any damage done to a piece of property. Personal injuries can fall within three different classifications: physical, mental or emotional. For instance, should you fall off of a step that wasn't in good operating order; the owner could be found liable for any personal injury you suffered as a result of the fall. This could also include any humiliation you may have suffered as well. However, if you were to tear your clothing during the fall or drop something you were holding and it broke, these damages would not fall under the personal injury umbrella.
