Lead Paint Toy Recall

In the last few years there have been a number of high profile incidences of lead paint toy recall, issued by a number of popular toy manufacturers. These recalls have been issued in each instance due to contamination with lead in the country of manufacture ヨ most often China. The two largest and most publicized recalls in recent years were by RC2 Corp, who recalled 1.5 million Thomas the Tank Engine toys, and almost a million toys which were recalled by Fisher-Price the same year. Every year there are also a substantial number of smaller, less publicized lead paint toy recalls. Many of these are for children's jewelry items, although there are a wide variety of other toys which have been included.
