Health Discrimination

Health discrimination is the act of denying a person certain services and opportunities based exclusively on their health condition. The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), and the American's with Disability Act (ADA) are two pieces of legislation that aim to stop discrimination in all areas based on a person's health. There are a number of different types of health conditions that a person may be discriminated against for having, including a mental condition and a physical condition. Although there are many laws in place to protect people from health discrimination, it still affects thousands of Americans each year.
